The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources remind all successful deer hunters in Zone 1 and 2 to write down their harvest information on a hunter harvest log as soon as the animal is recovered and before it is moved.

Zone 3 and 4 will be closed today. Zones 1 and 2 will remain open until Sunday, Nov. 29.

All harvested deer must be Telechecked through the toll-free, automated phone-in system by midnight on the day the animal is recovered, and before removing the hide or head. Hunters must also Telecheck the deer prior before removing the animal from Kentucky.

Kentucky hunters harvested over 70,000 deer during the first week of firearms deer season that began Nov. 14.
